Discover an oil mill, with tasting

Descrizione

Every Tuesday evening, guests at the residence are invited to take part in guided tours at the family oil mill.

At the beginning of the tour there will be a brief introduction to olive growing on Lake Garda and a visit to the olive grove. Continuing then to the olive mill, where the method of processing extra virgin olive oil will be explained. The discovery of a world completely unknown to most makes this experience an unforgettable part of the holiday. A type of activity suitable also, and particularly, for younger guests, who learn the method of processing olives while having fun.

At the end of the visit, you cannot miss the oil tasting and a toast with a good chiaretto, a wine that in summer is enjoyed cold and as an aperitif in the evening, or with other local wines, such as the red Garda Classico or the Groppello, the white Garda Classico or the Lugana.

The territory where the Residence S. Rocco stands, boasts a long tradition in the milling of olives, an activity of primary importance since ancient times, for the people of the lake. A tradition that has led to the construction of the oil mill, that can be toured, which over the years has become a point of reference for the enhancement of this precious product: extra virgin olive oil.

The production of DOP Garda Bresciano extra virgin olive oil tends to enhance the peculiar characteristics of the product, paying particular attention to the quality of the raw material and the mechanical procedures used in milling.

Guided tours pay attention to transmitting the values in which the company believes: a food production linked to traditions, respect for nature and health and, obviously, the pleasures of the palate.
