Dinner with the Abbot

Descrizione

Historical re-enactments, recreational, cultural and gastronomic experiences: all this and much more during the dinner with the Abbot. Discovering the way of the Benedictine monks, who were inspired by the Cluniac order, devoting themselves to agriculture and the production of fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants, to ensure a self-sufficient lifestyle.

The dinners are accompanied by a silent atmosphere and candlelight, ideal for allowing a dinner reading from the Rule of St. Benedict on monastic habits and the origins of Mantuan Lambrusco, mustard and hard cheeses such as Grana Padano or Parmigiano Reggiano.

This is one of many events organised periodically on the Food and Wine Route of Mantua.
