SCARPINOCC FEST

Descrizione

You can taste a very special dish all around the province of Bergamo. The people from a small village in Seriana Valley called Parre prepare it manually, but everyone in Bergamo loves it and enjoy eating it: it’s the so-called Scarpinòcc ravioli.

Scarpinòcc are shoe-shaped homemade ravioli. People often equate them to casoncelli, Bergamo’s most traditional dish, but Scarpinòcc are completely vegetarian. In fact, their filling is not made of meat (like casoncelli’s), as they are stuffed with breadcrumbs and cheese. The dressing is the typical mountain dressing: butter and sage. Absolutely delicious!

Don’t miss the Fest dedicated to Scarpinòcc in Parre, Seriana Valley. From August 18th to 20th, you can enjoy these magical raviolis along with many other products from the land of Bergamo. Moreover, the best Italian orchestras will play during the party.

Besides, on Saturday and Sunday you can also join the guided tours to the village of Parre or to an excursion across the mountains nearby. After a nice walk, we are quite sure you’ll be hungry enough to enjoy a delicious dinner!

Opening hours:
Friday and Saturday: the kitchen opens at 7.00  p.m.
Sunday: the kitchen opens at Midday and at 7.00  p.m.
