The “Majestic 2” in Campitello di Marcaria is equidistant between two UNESCO World Heritage cities, Mantua and Sabbioneta, in the middle of the Mantuan countryside. Hence the choice to offer, for East Lombardy, a "farmer’s breakfast" inspired by the substantial meal that the farmers ate when, after having cared for and milked the livestock, they were preparing to go to work in the fields. Fricòck (scrambled eggs with tomato), toasted polenta with cuspetun (fish), Grana Padano – now D.O.P., focaccia with pork rind chips and bread baked in a wood fired oven with butter and jam. As well as poor but tasty sweets: bisulan, apple cake, homemade jam tart and Mantuan apples or pears cooked in the wood fired oven.
