250 g butter

200 g super fine maize flour

200 g potato starch

2 eggs

1 egg yolk

white wine as needed

Descrizione

Bombonini are typical biscuits proposed among East Lombardy’s signature recipes for a good day by Al Carrobbio.

Procedure:

Mix together the flours and sugar, combine butter chopped into pieces, eggs, the yolk and finally as much white wine as you need to make a dough that you can roll with the rolling pin to a thickness of four millimetres.

Place on baking paper and bake in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.

Curiosity:

The Bombonini biscuits were made in Cremona during the Carnivale period and, to save on the cost of wood for the oven, the women came together in one house to cook them. Each of them brought their own cookie cutter to cut the dough and, for this reason, the Bombonini still have different shapes today.
