Twenty-three restaurants of the East Lombardy circuit, European Region of Gastronomy 2017, twenty Cremonese and one each from the provinces of Bergamo, Brescia and Mantua, typical products in the menus and an original idea to give life to the initiative: these are the ingredients of a gastronomic event to taste with your eyes and palate.

 

Created for the occasion of the exhibition "Genovesino. Nature and invention in seventeenth century painting in Cremona", the exhibition takes its cue from the works of the famous painter: after having chosen a picture of their liking, each restaurant proposes a dish inspired by the theme, or colours or other aspects of the work, with one constant element for everyone: the presence of Grana Padano cheese and the indispensable Cremonese nougat.

For the three restaurants that ideally represent the entire East Lombardy area, the precious collaboration of chef Sergio Carboni – whose task it is to convey the image of East Lombardy - led to the accession of:

Osteria Da Diego (Canneto sull'Oglio – Province of Mantua)
Il Baretto di San Vigilio (Bergamo)
