Brescia Photo Festival 2017

The first edition of the Brescia Photo Festivalan international level event dedicated to photography, will be held from March 7th to the 12th.  

 

For the first edition of the Brescia Photo Festival there will be the world premiere of “Leggere”, a brand new made in Brescia production by the legendary Steve McCurry.

 

The 2017 edition will also be characterized by an important anniversary in the history of photography, that refers to the 70th anniversary of the international photo-journalism agency Magnum Photo, which has some of the greatest photographers in the world among its collaborators.

 

Exhibitions, workshops with important photographers, meetings and debates are scheduled in the first 15 days of March, while the more important exhibitions will continue until the end of the summer and will be hosted at the Santa Giulia Museum and in the ex-courthouse, known today as  MO.CA..

 

The  “off-festival” will also have an important role with a full schedule of exhibitions in the galleries and in other private spaces in the city, while the Eden Cinema will be showing a cycle of documentaries with the biographies of the great photographers.
