The pleasure of the senses ... cruising on the Mincio

Two cruises in June, two in July, one in August and the last in September. The boat sets sail at 7pm, boarding from the Grazie di Curtatone marina.

Included in the degustation for each of the events there are 3 DOC wines among the Mantuan wines (sparkling wine, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Chiaretto, Cabernet, Merlot and Lambrusco) and specialities prepared by local restaurants.

Between Mantua, Grazie di Curtatone and Rivalta, the Mincio slows its pace, flowing through an area where a marshy environment creates insurmountable beauty. We are in the “Valli del Mincio” Nature Reserve, a territory that adds to the naturalistic charm with the cultural charm that is represented by small villages dotted along the banks of the river and the monumental city of Gonzaga, with its treasures.
If Mantua is the "City of the Lotus", it is thanks to the student Mary Pellegreffi. It was she who in 1921 brought to Mantua some rhizomes of Nelumbiom regaletele from some Italian missionaries in China. The pink petals of these flowers, which year after year have taken space away from the water lilies, have become the symbol of the city of Gonzaga and some of Mincio's views.
It’s passion that moves Gabriele, Danny and Ettore. They are the boatmen of the Mincio, for them the river has no secrets and their love for this territory has lead them to work by accompanying travellers along the river with their boats, telling the story of a territory that has no equal.
At nightfall when the sunset makes the colours of the Mincio vivid, the pleasure of the senses sharpens. That is the hour when the Mincio Boatmen, in collaboration with “The Road of Mantuan Wines and Flavours” and with East Lombardy, sail their boats on the river for some unforgettable themed evenings accompanied by typical Mantuan products.
It is no coincidence that these evenings have been baptised "The Pleasure of the Senses".
