Domus, East Lombardy showcase in Bergamo
The 4 Lombardy cities present their initiatives here

Domus Bergamo, open in Piazza Dante, in the center of Bergamo, since March  2015.

For the entire period of the Universal Exposition, it was the focal point and promotional site of more than 500 wine and food events.  

For the 2016-2017 two-year period, it has been identified as the official showcase of East Lombardy, as the Winery for the surrounding territories and reference point for the topic of sustainability, representing the prestigious recognition that the city of Bergamo, together with Brescia, Cremona and Mantua, have obtained for 2017 as the European Region of Gastronomy.
Every Thursday evening, the structure hosts an informative aperitif with the producers of the Wine and Flavor Route of Valcalepio. Starting at 7:30 pm, every Thursday a different winery will present 4 wines for tasting in a one-and-a-half-hour lesson with the winemaker. On Tuesday, room is given to cheese together with Alti Formaggi from Treviglio, while on Friday, the “Fridays of East Lombardy” give a product of the territory an appointment with its producers who talk about the product’s history, tradition, legend, along with the commitment and passion they put into making the product available for consumers.
The four cities involved present their cultural initiatives here: the weekend is dedicated to nutrition education for young children in collaboration with the San Donato Hospital and the City of Bergamo; to the “Local Produce Markets” of Slow Food every second and fourth Saturday of the month, with producers presenting their products in various cooking shows.
The Domus pavilion, 240 square meters of transparency, is built entirely in steel and glass, with a special opening that allows you to directly enter the heart of the Piacentinian-style center from Piazza Dante, with an event hall and the educational restaurant “Taste”, open for lunch from Tuesday to Friday, where students from the iSchool hotel/restaurant school prepare a menu that changes every week, using dishes from one of the four territories each time.
